The now 37-month-old case regarding the 2008 murder will go into "post-trial" motions and sentencing may happen as soon as September 1, or, depending on how things go, much later.

Originally from Madison, Brandon had since moved to Chicago and was making a name for himself there as a street artist when he was, tragically, stabbed and killed in an alley near his apartment.
